Twitter’s IPO announcement came in style as a Tweet from the company. Secondary sales of Twitter stock have valued the company at upwards of about $10 billion. The hype around Twitter’s IPO will be the largest since Facebook , which went public in May, 2012, but cratered almost immediately after pricing.
Following its IPO announcement Twitter introduced a new feature that will help verified users better manage their Twitter conversations! Verified users can filter their Twitter mentions within the “Connect” tab above their feed. Mentions are in three separate categories: all, filtered, and verified. The idea is to help those users identify the conversations that may be most important to them by sifting out the spam.

Videos play silently until tapped to full-screen, which feels slick. Facebook is expected to soon launch a new video ad unit, which might draw on this test’s feedback.
